Preston Homeless Forum AGM took place today at the Foxton Centre. Tim Keightley was re-elected chair and Sian Davis vice chair together with the existing management committee strenghtened by one or two new members,

Paul Connery of Homeless Link spoke to us about the current policy environment which despite general cuts is not as bleak as it might be as government continues to recognise the priority of preventing homelessness and especially reducing rough sleeping. A useful discussion followed covering topics such as involving service users in shaping personlaised services, volunteering and employment programmes and a rough sleeper strategy which would say and deliever "no second night on the streets".

Most of the orgnaisations in the forum were represented in a well attended meeting. The Chair's reported reflected on the added value the network of collaborative relationships which had enabled a better service for homeless people in Preston.
